I totally get that, Romes. If I don’t have something to look forward to I have to manufacture something pretty darn quick! For me, it’s often a vacation.

Hi Kitty and welcome to the forum! I’m sorry that your doctor is not being very helpful with your symptom of fatigue! I have a feeling that when RB teaches the doctors their 8 hour seminar, they advocate higher doses than necessary. After all, they get paid for each strip and pill!
The doctors need to listen to their patients! I wouldn’t trust any doctor who dismisses my symptoms! Your doctor’s ignorance should not be your problem, but unfortunately it is. I would go to your next appointment armed with a couple of articles printed out about how Wellbutrin causes false positives!
Good to have you here!

Did you drink your milk or dump it down the pot when Mom wasn’t looking? All those orange carrots & green spinach, remember? No I am not going to state the obvious that veggies are good et cetera, et cetera. If you’ve missed your chance already then no need to panic. There is still hope for you. Often people in their old age complain of ailments like reduced energy or joint pains. To avoid being a victim to that you should forever give importance to exercises. Even a mild post-dinner walk will do wonders to both your digestion & health. Following simple tips like taking the stairs rather than the elevator or escalator will give your body the much needed work out.
Take up a hobby that involves physical activity. Or even taking a walk down at the park with your spouse can be romantic & healthy. If you don’t have time for the gym, try stretching exercises at your desk! And yes, try to eat your veggies! Many vital nutrients are found in these & the more you intake the better off you will be.
Whatever you do, refrain from burning a hole in your pocket by going under a knife to look good. Why not give your body a chance instead? Try natural health supplements that may enhance your body’s efficiency. Natural supplements may boost the body’s capacity in many ways thus hopefully giving you a healthier look. So keep exercising and always opt for the natural kind of health supplements in your diet.

Hey xonedone
its okay that you took the .5 last night, i can def understand why you did it so dont feel like you messed up. I actually believe the blocking effect of sub starts somewhere above 2mg, but yeah you should def do some reading around to get a better idea. I know you want to be in wd/have a good amount of sub OUT of your system before you go in, but ive read stories where people actually get BETTER pain relief from a low dose of buprenorphine and a short acting opiate combined. So if i were you i would def look into that, so you dont suffer any more than you have to.
If you dont mind me asking, what are your plans for after the healing process is complete. Are you going to continue with sub?
I hope everything goes a-o-k with your surgery and aftercare. Sending you some positive vibes for pain relief during and after your surgery. And have a good day at work and a good memorial day, hope your making that time and a half money honey

Hey JohnB007,
You were really able to get off of Effexor? Damn, I wish I could do it. And yes, the Dr.’s had them out like candy w/o telling you about the side effects or inability to get off them. When I asked my doctor about getting off the Effexor he said that they joke around with the name of it. Meaning, a lot side Effects if you try to leave it. I actually got down to 5-7 of the little beads inside of the capsule. Then the darkness came and it scared me too much. Guess I’ll stay on it for now. Plus, it’s good to see someone was able to do it and come out the other side.

.5mg is still a pretty high dosage to jump from. The dr. that runs this site suggests that you think about it in micrograms. Right now you are taking 500 micrograms of suboxone. Maybe the reason you are having panic attacks is that you haven’t stabilized on that dose yet??? There is a thread on this forum called the liquid taper method. I suggest you look that up and really consider tapering down as low as possible. The lower you taper down the less discomfort you will feel when finally jumping off suboxone all together. And remember you were on opiates for years so it’s going to take awhile for your body to get back to normal, but the lower you taper down the more you can lessen your discomfort when you finally jump off. Good luck to you!

There is now genric buprenorphine and naloxone thegreatistislove…i dont know how different the prices are for out of pocket costs, but maybe its something you could bring up to your sub doc.
I just learned yesterday that a new clinic is being built right in my town…so im hoping since it will be new the patient assistance program will not be filled up yet and if i act quickly i can be one of the luckey 3 people that can get the patient assistance program.
Something i noticed is i have watched people who are prescribed suboxone legitamitly not even desire recovery. They sell most of their script and spend the money on their doc…only use the subs to avoid wd when they cant find anything else or the week before their next appointment. It ticks me off a little bit because i would LOVE to have my own sub therapy.
