I have been on Sub now for 4 years and definitely looking forward to getting off but I for one have never considered this drug not worth it or bad in and of itself. "It is what it is" – a NARCOTIC and Opiate partial agonist. Anyone can google what its about and the drawbacks before they take it (as I did) and people that just take their doctor’s opinion without questioning and doing their own homework are foolish in my book. This drug did what I took it for. It helped me get off a full agonist opiate that was causing me seizures.
Withdrawal and side effects go with Any narcotic /opiate and Sub makes this no secret (I had no issues reading up on all the side effects/withdrawal at all on my first google) – . To me, people that complain because it wasnt what they thought just advertise their inability to take responsibility for their choices.

I am new to this site but not to Suboxone. I have been on Sub for 4 years. I am also on Effexor XR. I have been suffering from insomnia since the beginning of treatment. I do not have trouble falling asleep, I just can not stay asleep. On average I usually go to bed around 10pm and then wake up just about every two hours, stay awake for about 30-45min then fall back asleep. I also find myself hungry every time I wake up (which has had a negative impact on my weight). I have tried multiple medications in the hopes of getting a full nights sleep. To name a few, Benadryl, Melatonin, Nortriptyline, Seroquel, Trazadone, Ambien and Xanax. Xanax worked the best but due to its addicting nature I didn’t want to go down that road again and chose to stop using it. At this point I am exhausted and need some help. Is there anything left out there to try or am I at a point where I will need to decide if being off Suboxone is the only option for a better nights sleep?

Your Welcome TD! Come on, it’s not too far fetched if it can be proved.

You are doing so good broseph since you started this thread. Like Karen said, by you be able to go down to .25 then it gives me hope too. I’ve never been below 1 mg so I can’t say what will happen once I do.
Thanks for posting this very uplifting thread for all of us to see.
