Let’s see what happens with a class action law suit.

I nearly spit out my coffee.. thank you for the laugh.

Your Welcome TD! Come on, it’s not too far fetched if it can be proved.

LOL. I guess all we can do now is just wait and see? I will not hold my breath for this one.

Interestingly, I think teeth are one of the body parts that are not valued (monetarily) in the eyes of the law, very easily anyway. Winning a dental malpractice suit is extremely hard because of this. I actually sued a previous dentist because their work was subpar and my lawyer said if it weren’t for some of the surrounding circumstances, we wouldn’t have had a shot based on shitty work alone. They settled before we got in front of a judge, but I don’t think I would have won if they hadn’t settled. Anyway.. sorry for my tangent. =)

wow keep..thats crazy! I am very new to the meds..like under a week, but I am so thankful that I was in a place finacially to make the step..I’ve been wanting to for awhile …but continued using because I hadn’t saved enough..Anyways I agree I like the meetings..attended in the past kicked a heroin habit back in the early 2000"s without meds..subs werent available and the meetings really helped i’d thought about starting up again but after reading how hateful they are about sub I have decided not to..I want to have support not someone downing me…they can often be very self ritious(sp) about things I know from experience..but the clinic I go to has sub meetings every Mon which are very similar to the 12 step and I get about the same out of them..I’ve heard that the AA folks are much less judgemental about it..I might check one out..but I feel ya I hate to have to depend on something but at least now it’s just a couple of times a day and not every few mins! But anyway good luck in your recovery I hope you stay blessed and only YOU know yourself and whats’ best to keep you off the streets and well ya know? I’m glad I found subs and that that they are available for us.I just wish this was all more affordable for all..I know that in Europe in some places they offer subtex FREE to addicts!! That’s pretty amazing how they treat their people anyway hope you have a great weekend

MM,

I think this is a good question that people on sub/methadone should think about.

I guess the answer depends on what recovery means. For me, recovery means moving forward away from drug using behaviors and not taking substances that impair me. So I think people who are only taking sub but not doing treatment can be in recovery to a degree. I know after 1 year on sub I stopped all treatment stuff. I ended up relapsing a year later even though i was on sub. Now I have been doing treatment and sub and things are way better.

So for me, I need both. Some may not.

New here & goin on day 4 with no Subs

I’m so glad to hear that you think Wellbutrin helped when you went off sub! My doctor is planning on starting me on Wellbutrin a few weeks before I go off sub for the same reason.

Your post about your libido being back made me giggle. Smile But be careful! You don’t want to electrocute yourself before you’ve had a chance to test out your renewed drive!

Have a relaxing rest of your weekend!

We don’t have TV access but have bought season 1 and 2 of GOT. Absolutely love it. Our other popular show is Big Bang. Went on a binge about 3 weekends ago and watched all of season 4 and 5. Which is why we don’t have cable or dish. I would sit like a zombie clicking the remote for hours. PAX
