Also, I’ve been trying to get pregnant (which is especially hard when my hubby is gone..lol)

^^Made me squirt coffee out my nose! Tinydancer, first of all I love the name! I stumbled upon this thread and I’m so happy I did! I don’t often find other folks who have been on subs as long as I have. (almost 6 years) What I especially like about your posts is that your able to acknowlege that suboxone took you from a screwed up life to today. Does that make sense? Is it perfect, is it free from it’s own harm? No. It may still be a beast but it is not the screwing up, chasing dope, dealing with shady characters, hiding from friends and family kind of beast. I have been very complacent with my treatment. I am just now realizing that I am at a crossroads, and hearing your story gives me hope that I will choose the right path.

Hip hip hurray for you! I wish you nothing but continued success! Oh…and um…your hubby will probably enjoy the experience of you getting pregnant if you wait til he gets home! Laughing

Hi Bella,

Welcome! Just a quick question, do you have an appointment with a sub doctor during the week your son will be gone? When is it? What has your doctor told you to expect and how long to be abstaining before the appointment?

I have never been on methadone but I know there are several here who have. I just thought a little clarification might help those who know about this to help you.

Good luck with your switch.

As I am running around & off to work, parent teacher conference, this meeting, that phone call and shopping and errands and laundry… (my normal daily routine) I have noticed a DRAMATIC decrease in the strength of my urge to use. I have the urge but it is extremely controllable. Like I can brush it off and go about my day without sweatting… although I am a little sweatty. It is really nice out today. IDK if it was the Acupuncture or just the hypnosis sinking in more or what. I HAD to let ya all KNOW how THRILLED I am and I hope it continues.
THANK you EVERYBODY for your support & kind words of motivation! I KNEW my posting would reach the right person/people. at the right time.
I will post more this evening and address each of you. HAVE a GREAT day! MAny blessings to you.
PS.~MYRECOVERY! Really?!! ME?? THAT is AWESOME!!! Welcome to the forum and thank you too..

31 days off suboxone and counting..My introduction and story

Hey Jen,

I went back to work 5 weeks after I got off Suboxone (NO, not for maternity leave, you smart ass!! LOL) and I remember that time fairly well. I was nervous as hell going back to work and had the butterflies too. I was only get 3 or 4 hours of sleep still and I just knew when I walked into work that I’d have "I feel like shit" written all over my face and body and comin’ out my ears, too. But, went back to work I did and it was about the best thing I could have done for myself. It gets you back in that routine and forces you to act normal, even if you feel like there’s nothing but chaos going on upstairs in the noggin’. Fake it until you make it comes to mind! Wink

Your 5th paragraph (Starts with….Enough of work for now), I could have wrote myself at the 42 day mark (minus talking to the bf…no bf here!) It looks like you’re about par for the course with your wd.

Keep hanging in there and keep on doing the next right thing!!!
