I am SO sorry that your doctor was such an ASS!!! You might as well have kept it to yourself because all she did was make sure not to prescribe you opiates! She is obviously SUPER ignorant and arrogant, and I’m so glad you are filing a complaint! I wish I knew her information because I’d send her a letter myself. Some people don’t deserve their medical degree.

I’m glad at least that the D & C is over and I hope you start feeling much better.

It’s pretty common to have headaches until your body gets used to the suboxone. Some people have found that their headaches improve if they spit out the remains of their sub instead of swallowing it. It’s commonly thought that the headaches are caused by the naloxone component of suboxone.

There are a number of people who complain of pinpoint pupils being a side effect. I don’t know if that’s what you meant by looking glassy-eyed.

I’m glad your induction went pretty smoothly. I wish you the best!

I hear you! I’m feeling kind of low myself so I understand where you’re coming from. My sister just came to visit…the first time since I’d been sober. I felt like I was under the microscope the whole time. She apparently made sure that the visit only lasted a few days because she was worried that it might be difficult to be around me. I really didn’t care for the scrutiny and having to explain myself all of the time.

No one understands this wild ride unless they are also an addict. Sometimes the world feels like a pretty lonely place. I can’t quantify my progress in the way normal people can understand. It’s really difficult to want to have your progress recognized by your family, but they’re not going to throw a party for you because you’ve managed to leave the house every day that week!

That’s why I come here and post and read. I need a place where everyone understands why the little successes mean so much.

You hang in there! Better days are on the way!

Thank you for adding this information! I’m curious as to why you don’t want to list her information on the forum, although you’re certainly under no obligation to do so. Are you thinking that her practice will become too big if she is publicly listed? Or is it to help protect your own identity? I’m just curious, so no big deal.

I love my own doc so much and it makes me want to shout his name from the rooftops! Lol! But I’m also very open about my addiction and why I see my doctor every month. I understand that not everyone wants to be that open about their addiction, though. Smile
