Using Suboxone only for Depression (Darken’s Blog)

Thanks for the update, Darken. One thing you didn’t mention was are you treating your depression now? And, if so, what are you using and is it working for you?
I am taking Sub for addiction, but I also have MDD. I am planning on going off Sub due to its side effects, but I am well aware that it treats my depression. When I go off I will be back on the AD merry go round. Any new insights you might have on treating depression would be welcome.
Thanks,
Lilly

Henry88,

For one, why don’t you start your own thread in the Introductions section so we can give you the proper welcome. Second, you can’t just post a question like that without supplying information about yourself and what you are taking now.

I have knee pain too but being the age I am, it is certainly arthritis and only Aleve or any OTC drug like that helps.

So do tell. What is going on with you? And BTW, WELCOME to the forum!

Suboxone and subtext while pregnant

Thank you so much for sharing your story and welcome to the forum! You have obviously put a lot of thought into your pregnancy and subutex use during it. Everything I have read on the subject lines up with what you’ve discovered. Don’t quit cold turkey or it could cause a miscarriage, plenty of babies born of moms on sub have no withdrawal symptoms, etc.

I hope you keep us updated on your pregnancy as time passes. I’m glad things are going well with your studies. I’m sure that you are a compassionate nurse given that you’ve been through your own struggles. I wish you well!

Success story, I think?

Hey Freeman Atlast,

Welcome to the forum and I’m glad you were finally able to share your story. It does feel good to get it out.

Congratulations on the taper. Sounds like you did a really good job. So, day 6 is in the books and you’re onto day 7 tomorrow. For most of us, Suboxone wd peaks in and around day 7 thru day 9. It’s very hard to say with any certainty, but it sure sounds like you’re going to have a fairly easy go on the wd front. I would think if you were going to feel heavy wd, you would surely have felt it by now.

As a side note, if you do start getting wd, many have gone to work while in wd from Suboxone. Suboxone wd is typically not as intense as pain pill wd, but it usually lasts longer.
