At really low doses, the mean half-life of about 37 hours just doesn’t really apply. It’s pretty normal for people on doses of ~1 mg or less to get hit w/ w/d in a day or less. That’s why many people go to twice daily dosing at some point during their taper. So in my opinion what you’re going through is completely normal. I also think that if you’re having withdrawals the way you describe, you’re not ready to jump yet.
What you could do is try to start stretching out your dosing a little more, even if it’s just going from every 24 hours to every 25 hours and adding an hour each day (or however often you are dosing). It’s clear that your body/brain is still accustomed to getting it’s daily opiate dose, so if I were you, I’d keep tapering down.
Good luck with it.
