Hey Jeanetta,

I want to congratulate you on a great taper too!! Getting down to .25mg is pretty darn good, but you also have to realize that’s 250 micrograms of Suboxone. We’ve had people taper all the way down 50 micrograms and still report some kind of wd, so while I’m a little surprised at the wd you’re having, it’s not totally unheard of.

By far, the best med I took during my wd was Clonidine. Clonidine is a blood pressure medication that’s prescribed off label for opiate wd, it’s kinda the gold standard. Clonidine calms the Sympathetic Nervous System. It won’t remove all of your wd symptoms, but it should knock them down a peg or two.

For the RLS, the only thing that worked for me was exercising my legs vigorously until I basically dropped. My RLS from Suboxone wd only lasted about a week or so, I hope yours clears up quickly.

For sleep, you could try that Valerian Root, it’s available at any health food store, I think even Wal-Mart carries it. Whatever you do, don’t smell the capsules….they stink bad!!! Melatonin is also pretty effective. Melatonin is produced naturally in our bodies, it helps regulate our sleep/wake cycles. I tried Melatonin a few times and it knocked me out like Mike Tyson would.

Lastly, I want you to remember that everything you’re going through is temporary…..you will get better, it’s just gonna take a little time.

Hang tough!!!
