Gabatrol (or anything with phenibut) taken in moderation, or only in times when you absolutely need to function. I would not suggest use more than 2 days a week. For some sleep, high quality kava kava root powder…it will help. It will actually help with the anxiety also. I would steer clear of the benzos, at least from personal experience.

Clonodine and diphenhydramine in combination can help also. There are many things that can help, that is just a few.

At night, I would suggest magnesium before bed in a high dose. Source Naturals makes a product called Magnesium Serene and it is awesome. You can also drink or even smoke chamomile to ease the tension a bit.

The gabatrol that I mentioned is pretty hardcore and you might feel too good and end up addicted to the shit. It happened to me before I even knew what it was. I took it for 2 weeks thinking it was a natural supplement and that I was just doing well. When I discontinued after learning more about it, I had insane rebound anxiety and insomnia and went straight for the benzos. Ended up abusing klonopin (12mg per day) for a few weeks and finally saw a Psychiatrist who is in AA and would like to see me off of all meds. He started me on a diazepam taper and I went from 40mg to 20mg per day over 2 weeks and am doing alright. That is where I am and I wish I would’ve known more about the gabatrol, I think I’d be clean today if I had known. It is safe if used properly and well researched, but must be cycled and used rarely.

I came off of sub after 3.5 years back around June and have been opiate free since. Now I have to get these damn benzos out of my system. If I didn’t have a fast-paced corporate job I would just CT the shit right now and suffer for a week or so. I haven’t been on them that long (3 months on and off total, but sometimes in extreme doses).

All I can really suggest is that you really do your homework before ingesting something to feel better. The information is available and has helped me tremendously.

Good luck and congrats on being opiate free 25 days…it isn’t easy. The methadone doctors told me that with my habit and attitude I would be on the crap until the day I died. I proved them wrong. Suboxone may’ve helped save my life, I don’t know, but I don’t like that crap either and am glad to be off of it. In fact, I don’t like any of the crap and can’t wait to be off of the diazepam; no more substituting one drug for another. I have 3 weeks off during the holidays so I know there is no excuse not to be clean or getting clean by then. For me, clean is all pharmaceuticals out of my body. This might not be the view of others and I respect that…it’s just for me. Some of us need meds as I do at the moment.

Again, good luck and keep on the right path Very Happy
