Also, you can go to an Emergency Room/Dept and they are allowed to give you 3 days worth of suboxone, without having the DATA 2000 waiver. I know it’s only 3 days worth, but it’s worth a try. |
This is legal, but I would bet every dollar to my name that no emergency room in the US is going to do it. I’ve heard of people going to the ER in opi w/d, and no one ever got anything better than a handful of Valium, and even that was only once. Usually people get nothing. A whole lotta doctors see opiate addicts as junkie scum..how do you think ER docs feel? They are dealing with gunshot wounds and car accidents and now some junkie is taking up their time? No way, jose..
There was a thread like this on another forum I frequent a couple weeks ago, except the drug in question was methadone and not Sub. The poster asked if the ER would dose her if she missed the clinic, and the masses cried a unanimous "hell, no."
So unfortunately, I have never heard of the emergency room working for friends IRL or people online, ever.
P.S. Obviously, I am not calling anyone a junkie. I am just using that word to show that that is how we are thought of sometimes.
And, most doctors don’t even know about that three day rule.
