I always suspected that when I entered o/p detox (some around Detroit metro area also tag their clinics pain recovery),
That I’d be stereotyped ‘addict’.

Turns out I was right. One month into detox I paid visit to a pain clinic that was previously
Was a provider to me. They would only offer methadone, and said if they did that then they
Would also have to contact my ‘addictionologist’. Now mind you, I volunteered into the program
Seeking help for ‘dependency to opiates’. Now, since the medical community likes to use ‘dependency’
And ‘addiction’ as two different issues, I found this both alarming and amusing. I know I’m better off
Regardless, but the pain doctors are slithering creatures same as us. I think any doctor with a dea number,
And especially sub docs, should show proof of addiction and survival / successful recovery from opiatEs
To achieve a license to prescribe the venom. Just sayin’
