It has been 38 days. And i feel pretty good, although i still dont feel that "normal" experience all day long, I can somewhat remember as a young teenager(11-13).
Right now im enjoying a nice hot tea of tamamile(or however u spell it)..helps relax me.
Around day 22 i could feel those brief moments of normalcy come back to me. Im still struggling a bit to get my life in the right direction in a positive manner…although i feel much better there still are other bumps in the road that wont be easy as well…ALL tho coming off of suboxone was the hardest thing i’ve ever had to do. I feel so proud of myself..I…ME…I..actually got off suboxone!
My doc gave me klonopin and trazadone my first 2 weeks……I cried alot…couldnt get a deep night sleep. had diarhea allday…my pee smelled bad and i was depressed as hell. And i had that over all feeling of being uncomfortable…

Keep in mind i injected heroin(100$ habit) for 5 years, then went on suboxone and was stuck on that for 4 years.
I got myself down to .25mg a day…got unemployment and quit it….IT is worth it. YOU MUST do it to live the life you are meant to live and be the person you really are.

As of now I get atleast 4 to 5 hrs of sleep a night. I still go on walks like i did everyday thru withdrawal.
I can tell my mind has gotten alot better….way less negative thinking…

the withdrawal will go away. its a fact. you just gotta push through it and in time you will be your true self.
Take it easy to all of you with the same troubles i have and have had. much love.

1 question for anyone. Does st. john’s wort work? is it worth trying??

Congratulations, Shane!!! It is a big accomplishment and takes a ton of resolve, so I am super proud of the fact that you got off AND the fact that you tapered.

I’ve been off Sub for three months. I have not tried St. John’s Wort. I did have a surgery in there and the painkillers set me back…..But I still feeling pretty good. I get PAWS in waves. (Well, I think it’s PAWS) My PAWS is not so much a lack of energy. It’s having extremely cold hands/feet, chills, diarrhea, and that weird smell in my nose. I’m just getting to the other end of a wave of it. It is annoying, but it doesn’t slow me down or change my life, because it is not allowed to. Very Happy I think that’s the trick. Keeping busy and knowing it’s only a matter of time because you are 100% through it all.

Again, congratulations!!
