Hey subbedout, welcome! You are right about not really being able to understand unless you have been there. I think that is true with a lot of different meds, and situations in life. It’s nice to be able to talk to others on sub through this forum.
I haven’t tried tapering yet, but I actually have thought about tapering in a way similar to what you are suggesting. The reason I thought about this is because I have been trying to stabilize my dose for the last 3 months. When I feel bad, I raise the dose. Then I feel great, so I lower it…trying to find what the lowest possible dose is for me. Then I get some side effect, and I raise it.
The point is…I always feel better the very first day that I raise it. So I thought that when/if I do taper, why not take a higher dose on some days in between low doses? It might not keep my dose consistent, but the overall dosage for the entire week would keep going down, and that’s the point of a taper. And just to have some relief in the middle of the taper would probably give some people the relief needed to get through it?? Just some thoughts.
Hope it keeps working for you, and glad you finally decided to join!
