I am sorry to hear about your pharmacy story. Non-addicts are SUCH jerks sometimes! This reminds me of what I heard on the news tonight. They are tying to open up a Methadone Clinic in Burlington, Vermont and the local school and Board of Trustees are fighting it. How stupid?!? What would they rather have: People left on the streets withdrawing from opioids and subsequently robbing the community members to buy more heroin OR have a harm reduction program to keep addicts out of withdrawal and lower local crime? I hate the fact that most people have no idea that addiction is a chronic medical disease of the brain! Addicts need to be helped. Whether it is methadone or suboxone, I don’t care. Personally, I am on suboxone.
However, at least your story does have a happy ending!
