giving up

3 of my symptoms that hung around the longest were craptacular sleep, constant fatigue and anxiety.

My sleep improved to almost normal around the 1 year mark.

I think it was in an around that time that I noticed how bad caffeine (I used to drink 6 or 7 cups of coffee per day) spiked my anxiety. I cut back to 2 cups a day and cut back on my Coca Cola and my anxiety improved greatly.

I was about 18 months when I started lifting weights, that’s when the constant fatigue improved. When I first started lifting, I was only lifting for about 1/2 hour, but that 1/2 hour made a tremendous difference. By no means was I lifting and pushing myself to failure back then. I was actually just building my strength up to get to where I could really start pushing myself.

I also have to mention that learning to live my life in balance (recovery) helped with my anxiety and constant fatigue. For some reason, my emotions get the better of me a lot. I find that I still react to situations instead of thinking, then acting. As I continue to get better at not reacting, but thinking, then acting….my anxiety calms down significantly.

I know what you’re going through sucks, believe me, I know….but you also have to look back at where you were and give yourself a MAJOR pat on the back for how far you’ve come. Don’t ever forget how far you’ve come.
