There are other types of support groups out there like SMART Recovery. And I’ve heard so many times here that going to AA can be better than going to NA, for just the reasons you mentioned. At AA there are less likely to be pushers hanging out in the parking lot.

There are a lot of churches that can help you plug into a small group right away. That can be a great way to find support for yourself.

I’m glad you’re doing so well at day 42. That’s 6 weeks!! Keep up the good work!
