I am not a Dr, Of course, but my question is this: Doesn’t the fact that she takes naltrexone for her alcohol dep really limit how much of her pain that you can control? I mean, oxy will not even work for her if she begins taking it with the Naltrexone – will it? Since she DOES have an opiate addiction in her past is there not a reason you could tell the insurer that she is being prescribed the Suboxone due to this?

I think it really sucks that Drs are put in such a position as you are in this case. Almost like you have to INDUCE a drug addiction in order to get her on the medicine that will likely work for her. How frustrating this must be.
