When to take sub after delivery?

I believe the benefits of breastfeeding out weigh the small amount of buprenorphine that would pass through your milk. If you were on 24 mg I would be more concerned, but at 2 mg I would think that the risk isn’t that great. Babies wean from breast milk gradually as they start eating solid foods. You’ll notice that your supply goes down after a few months. So if the baby is dependent on buprenorphine, they will gradually get less and less and won’t go through any kind of withdrawal system. Your baby is already used to a small amount of the subutex you’ve been taking while pregnant so I wouldn’t be too worried about it.
