hello….
I’m a pain patient, too, I guess "technically" but I don’t have anywhere near the issues, as you my friend… I just have early onset of LOTS of things,,,, arthritis in my back/knees, for four years already, and not much cartilidge,, had carpal tunnel surgery at 22,,, this is all due to working commercial construction, from 18 to 25, and then residential roofing/siding/etc….
Anyway,
my dr. is pretty good about making sure my pain is managed, but I had already gone down the "methadone route" before going on suboxone… and well could NOT TAKE IT HOW YOUR SUPPOSED TO… I actualy LOVED it…. to take too much, of course…
anyways,, here’s a story you should read when you get some time,,,
"my switch" and it’s a really enlightening story

and maybe methadone WOULD be a better choice for YOU, since your "chemical issues" are more in the background,,, and your pain issues more in the "forefront"
I’m kind of the opposite,,, of that…
here’s a paragraph I found when I searched google for "methadone doctor search tool"
Methadone-Clinic.com and MethadoneTreatment.net both offer toll-free numbers which you can call. The operators working at these hotlines will probably ask you for some simple information about your location and possible preferences in the location of your MMT clinic. After receiving this information, they will likely guide you to the clinic best-suited to help you. These hotlines are extremely discreet and may not even require you to give them your name.
