Hey. New to this forum. I came here because I am looking for a suboxone doctor for a long term maintenance, rather than the 3 month detox that all of my previous doctors keep putting me on. I first got on suboxone about a year and a half ago, and almost immediately got a positive result. I have absolutly no desire to use, and it also seems to alleviate my depression and anxiety where all other meds I have tried have failed. Problem I am having is that all the doctors I see are family practice doctors that also prescribe suboxone. They’re not addiction specialists or even psychiatrists. They won’t keep me as a patient for more than a few months. I eventually relapse, go back on suboxone and start over. Does anyone know of a doctor in Long Island, NY or even NYC that prescribes long term?
