Oh common, it’s a fun boat! **rocks the boat**

Anyway I’ve NEVER heard of a blood test for sleep apnea, the only way I’m aware of to diagnose that is a sleep study which involves sleeping with all these leads hooked up to your head, gook in your hair and all that fun stuff!(Washing your hair the next day is really fun!)

As for depression, I was pretty darn depressed myself. When I got my Dr. to switch me over to buprenorphine, I don’t think it was a week later it just occurred to me "Hey, I’m not depressed anymore!".

Hey Manny,

I just wanted to chime in and offer my support as well!!

You may have a little bit of a rough few days getting off Suboxone, but seeing as you haven’t been on it too long and you were at a low dose, I think your wd will be fairly short and on the mild side.

Hang tough, man!

Not sure what does of sub you stopped from but either way you’re sleep is going to be screwed up for a few weeks. It’s definitely the sub, not the bud. I stopped from a very small dose and my sleep was a little rocky for about 3weeks. Smoking bud helped me a lot with my sleep…I would wake up at night and take a toke and pass back out. I’d rather take a toke than another sub…just my opinion. You’ll be fine just give it time…

GAME OF THRONES

I’ve never heard of Game of Thrones but will now make it a point to watch it. My wife and I got into Breaking Bad late but lucky for us they showed the entire previous seasons and we were able to record it. And like you TD, our DVR is so backed up with the same things you mentioned.

We like:

Breaking Bad
The Following
Southland
Revenge (only my wife)

So now I have to add GOT’s? Jeeesh! I have movies recorded that are a year old. With my personality, I find it very hard to just sit and watch TV or read for a long time. My magazines are 6 months behind. This has all happened since I retired. Go figure! My wife and I are going to sit down and work on my schedule so I do have time to relax and enjoy TV and reading again.

Great thread TD!

Done,

How are you doing today? I was glad to see the turn in your last post. Let’s focus your anger where it needs to be, toward this addiction that we share. No matter what we all have that common bond here on this forum. I am really pulling for you here. I am also getting close to D-Day, I don’t have an exact date yet but It’s coming within the next 2 or 2 1/2 months. So, I am watching to see how you are able to handle this CT. I have been through it, it sucks. That’s all I can say. To me there wasn’t much difference between the wd from subs and hydrocodone. It took a few days to start but once it did I went a full 7 days with NO improvement. Then blessed relief when I had my next appt. I am not looking for my next WD to be as bad because I am actually doing my taper like I am supposed to be now. I had to finally give my sub over to my husband to give me my dose every day. It is hidden from me so I won’t be tempted. I know this is not ideal but it is working for now. Whatever it takes. That’s where I am right now. My only focus is getting completely sober right now. I long for the day when I am not having to think about taking any substance to make me feel normal. Sweet freedom, that is the desire of my heart. And it sounds like yours as well.

I would be happy to offer you any support I can in your journey. Stay strong, keep your resolve, and remember to focus your anger where it is deserved, you only control your own actions. I am learning to not worry so much what anyone else thinks, even my family. I need to be selfish right now, it’s hard for them to understand that I can’t do this for anyone but myself. But if I don’t focus on me I won’t succeed and that is just the cold, hard truth. I never said it was pretty.

Keep us updated!
