I know I’m kind of late with this, but spiking her drink wouldn’t do much of anything except make her mad. Oral bioavailability for buprenorphine is pretty much non-existent.

You will notice you have PAWS because you will be feeling okay, and then suddenly, you feel w/d-type sick. For me, my hands and feel would feel cold; I’d get sweats and those prickly hot flashes; and I’d get diarrhea. Sometimes, I’d feel so exhausted that it seemed impossible to get through. We were out of town once and I got slammed with PAWS. Holy hell, it was tough. I was SO TIRED that I barely spoke to anyone the entire weekend…just forced one foot in front of the over. There is an absolute lack of motivation as times. Nothing seems worth the effort and you just want to sit and be one with the couch. Brain feels like an engine that just won’t turn over. That’s been PAWS for me. I’m pretty much out of the PAWS woods though…(knock on wood!)…and if I think back on how I felt a few months back, the different is huge.

Hey man, I commend your honesty and the fact that you are looking out for yourself.
You are being given way too many drugs, IMO. Your Sub dose is high, and not this doc wants to add a high dose of Ativan and also Adderall. You don’t want this headache. Basically, you will be dependent on several drugs, which is just a good thing to avoid if possible. Benzos are not fun to get off of AT ALL. Trust me on that one. I wish someone had drilled that into my head before I started them, because if I knew what hassle I would be causing myself, I would have run the other way.
Best of luck! Keep being your own best advocate.

Sweet 16 I just read the details of your progress and I posted on my taper the other day. Romeo and Ladder and now you have also been an inspiration for me. My story is a bit different, in that my pain is coming back more as I decrease the suboxone but I’ll find some drug to at least take the edge off that is not an opiate. I am so excited for you. How long do you think you’ll do the skipping dose stuff and are you having any w/d symptoms. I am now at 3.0 mg a day. 2 in the am and 1 in the eve. Just been at that dose for 2 days now and I do great during the day but I have some significant bone pain at night? Do remember how long it took for you to get down fro 3.0 to 1.0 mg and how was that for you as far as symptoms? Did you get depressed or anxious, restless, or any of the more physical symptoms. I had such an awful awful time and now it is much better and that is primarily due to that I did not absorb the films at all and soon as I switched to tabs I was absorbing and dropped my dose real fast to 6 and then went slowly. I am so excited for you and again, the more people that post honestly, well it sure gives me so much hope to keep going. I am certainly discovering like others that very very slow is the way to go. Congrats Sweet and Ladder and Romeo and everyone else who is trying to taper and to those who have decided to stay on sub and are leading comfortable lives.
